Three Negroes were stabbed and 14 other arrested after a Negro gang laid siege to an East London college and attacked students as they emerged from class, it is reported from the British capital.

Two of the victims are fighting for their lives in a critical condition in hospital. One had been flown to hospital by the air ambulance. A third, who managed to get to hospital without an ambulance, is in a stable condition.

An eyewitness claimed that one of the victims was stabbed seven times in the battle outside Havering College of Further Education in Hornchurch at 4pm yesterday afternoon. A gang of Negroes, ranging in age from late teens to their 40s, ambushed students as they left the college.

Witness Nick Elmore, 18, described how the ambushers began screaming abuse at a group of students before attacking them with lumps of wood and metal objects. His friend David Imavor, 18, was stabbed seven times in the melee before being taken away by air ambulance.

Elmore said: "I was walking out of college when I heard some swearing behind me. I saw a gang of around 15 black kids swearing at a group of black students across the road.

"All of a sudden the gang crossed the road. They seemed to be trying to identify people in the group of students and then they just pulled out some weapons. I could see blocks of wood and some sort of metal object and I didn't want to step in. It looked as if they might have been lying in wait.”

A local resident said that the stabbing was the second attack in the last few months. The man, who did not with to be named, said: "I was told by police that the drugs problem in the college is rife. About three months ago there was a stabbing on another of Havering College's campuses. "There was a huge fight and two students ended up stabbed. We were told it was related to drugs. It was at the Upminster Campus."

A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: "Police are seeking a number of witnesses, described as black males. We have arrested 14 people in connection with the incident.”

According to the BBC, police say it is not being treated as a racially motivated incident and they are “keeping an open mind as to why the fight started.” Of course, if it had been Whites who were the attackers, no doubt the world’s media would have trumpeted the attack as “White racism.”
